Position Title: Health Information Management Coder I

Department:Health Information Management
Position Description: This position applies the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes utilizing coding guidelines, and applying knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes and pharmacology to outpatient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing.

Qualifications:
Education:High School diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in HIT prefererd. Minimum of successful completion of a coding certificate program in a program with AHIMA approval Status. RHIT/CCS preferred.
Experience:Minimum one year coding experience required.
