Volunteers at Brazosport Regional Set Date for Tree of Remembrance Ceremony
The Brazosport Regional Volunteers will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the Tree of Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 in the main lobby of Brazosport Regional Health System.
Throughout the year, the auxiliary receives contributions to the Tree of Remembrance in memory of a loved one who has passed away or in honor of someone who gives a special meaning to our lives. Each year, these donations come to life in early December as a large Christmas tree is lit on the front of lawn of Brazosport Regional during the Tree of Remembrance ceremony. White lights are designated to the memory of our loved ones and the colored lights are given to honor someone.
This year the ceremony will include a welcome speech by Daniel Buche, CEO/President of Brazosport Regional, Christmas Carols led by music leader Bill Baskin and a musical presentation by the Lake Jackson Intermediate School choir. The names of the 2008 memorials will be read and the Christmas tree will be lit. Refreshments will follow the ceremony.
You are invited to join the Tree of Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday, December 3, 2008. If you would like to donate in honor of a loved one, forms are available at the Main Information desk at Brazosport Regional or call 979.285.1185 to have one mailed to you. All contributions are designated for hospital needs and/or equipment. If you have any questions, please call Diane Poston at 979.285.1181.
