Hand Therapist at Brazosport Regional Health System Speaks About Practical Steps to a Lifetime of Hand Safety
From the second that we wake up to the time that we end our day, the hand is involved in almost every activity that we undertake. People often take advantage of their hand and not realize how critical they are until they cannot use them anymore. In this month’s community education seminar, Peggy Boineau, OTR, a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) at Brazosport Outpatient Rehabilitation Services will teach you how to prevent hand injuries.

Statistics report an estimated one-third of work-related injuries happen to the hand. In fact, hands are the second most often injured in the work place. However, with the right plan, you can be armed to prevent hand injuries.

Boineau’s presentation will include the causes, cures, and prevention methods for common hand injuries including tendon injuries, trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, and fractures.

The “Handle With Care: Practical Steps to a Lifetime of Hand Safety” seminar will be held on Wednesday, February 13 in the classrooms at Brazosport Regional Health System from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM. For information about the program, please call 979-285-1824.
